Clean living in the middle of the city. If you don't feel like going to the Jardin beach you can have a lazy day on the hotel roof where there are plenty of sun chairs and two pools. One of the cheepest hotels I have stayed at. Nice balconys if you like the music from the square. Good value for the money.
First of all you be aware of that this hotel shares its entrance with hotel Park Plaza. It only says Park Plaza over the door. On the internet it is sometimes even referred to as Tropical Park Plaza. Like most hotels in Spain this hotel feels like it should have one star less than it officially has. Unfortunately our room was on the first floor facing the restaurants round the Plaza del Charco. The restaurant on the other side of the small street had a live singer that shouted the same hits two out of two nights in a row. Bring ear plugs. You won’t get any sleep until about 1 AM. Then you’re woken up by the same restaurants in the morning about 6 AM when they prepare for breakfast.
Very helpful staff, international (Scandinavian) guests, Excellent views of Carnal in progress.
Rooms with best view are prone to noise nuisance in hours of darkness, better insulation would be an improvement.
Very good location.
Little noisy if you want to go to sleep before 23.00. There are plenty of restaurants around the hotel with live music - you can hear all of them from your room. But from the other point of view - we saw some carnival performances from our balcony =)
i thought it was a very comfortable hotel ,the rooms were very clean and the staff very polite and helpful .i am looking forward to booking it again in the very near future.
we did eat in the hotel ,although i must say the evening meal could have been a bit better ,we would not eat evening meal again ,we had no complaint about the breakfast we thought that was good value but would not want to pay more than we did pay .
The location is great, as it's right in the centre of town, just off the main square. There's a good view from the roof.
I don't know if this is the worst hotel in Puerto de la Cruz, but I'd be willing to bet that I had the worst room in town! Absolutely no view at all (it faced almost internally), no balcony, bars on the window, very dark, tiny kitchen with no worktop to prepare food, bed not very comfortable. The staff seemed either too busy or not very interested in greeting guests most of the time. There's a lot of noise from (appalling) music from nearly bars, but this ends at around 23:30. However, just when you think it's safe to go to sleep, there is an enormous crashing noise well after midnight every night from the glass recycling bins outside being emptied!
excellent central situation, clean and cheap.
Clean and functional apartment. Good for quiet, relaxing break.
No air con in apartment but at price what can one expect. Rental of sun umbrellas a bit unnecessary in view of occupancy at time of year. Would benefit from upgrading of television and tv services to receive more regular chanels.
The apartment was very good, clean and comfortable. There was maid service 5 times per week, two large outdoor swimming pools with sun beds and parasols (which could be hired for 2€ per week plus a refundable deposit of 30€ - well worth it!) Balcony was large with patio table and chairs, had a pool and sea view!! The hotel had live entertainment 5 times per week which catered for children, teens and adults and included aqua gym and volleyball in the pool, as well as pool tables, tennis courts and table tennis. The cost of a taxi from Tenerife's South airport is 33€ or you can catch two busses, as we did, for only 4€ each - no. 111 outside the airport to Las Americas for 2.30€ and then the 472/473 to Callao Salveje for 1.80€, which drops you by the apartments. A great holiday and would definitely go back again!!
Spacey, clean and very-well equipped apartments with large terraces and a seaside view. Very relaxing atmosphere of Callao Salvaje, out of the way and far from the touristic frenzy of Las Americas. Various activities for families with children (shows, bingo sessions, tennis court, pool tables, darts, etc.). Lots of nice restaurants, supermarkets and bars nearby.
Public transportation from/to the Tenerife Sur airport and to Las Americas/Los Cristianos is not very practical (one needs to take a few buses) so renting a car or taking a taxi is the only option to get there or out of there. The hotel's rules on renting out the tennis court are a bit frustrating - reservations possible only on the day of rental, only from 8am and not by phone (you have to come down to the reception desk). Swimming pools were not heated.
Apartment was spacious, had a nice terrace with a view on the ocean. Apartment had pretty much everything (except for hairdryer) - fridge, stove, oven, microwave, blender, clothes dry rack. A couple of supermarkets nearby, easy to get some food and cook for yourself.
No free internet and it's relatively pricey - 6 eur per day or 12 eur per three days. Hairdryer is 7.50 eur per week. Apartment could be a bit cleaner, but it was ok in that sense. Tv was very small and dated. The whole complex is populated by older people, so it's not a best choice for a young couple. The town of Callao Salvaje itself is very small and quiet, but to do anything you need to rent a car, buses only go 3 times an hour and are sometimes full.
Omgivelserne og hele stemningen og at der var så rent
almost everuthing, entertainment, cleaning etc.
WIFI costs too much and even then it is poor, slow,
small television with few canals.
Very spacious appartments with well equippes kitchen. They are still working to create a beach, so you need a car to go to Playa de San Juan
This was my second stay at tropical Park. Callao Salvaje beach and bars are at the bottom of a hill and Tropical Park, although part way up the hill is not as far as some of the alternative resorts. Good facilities, with pools, supermarket, restaurant, sports facilities all on site.
